ACF efforts are focused on improving job opportunities; partnerships with the city of Dallas; the Dallas Police Department; economic investment in South Dallas to further employment opportunities; increase availability of emergency healthcare services where appropriate sites can be determined for grocery stores and Health Centers Partnerships with non-profits to take advantage of CRA funds; improve the lives of South Dallas citizens and offer treatment alternatives for battered women; the homeless and others that are currently neglected in South Dallas.
Just an example of one of those non-profits is Bring the Light Ministries and the Joshua Center which will provide housing, shelter for sex trafficking victims, counseling, job training and faith to restore their courage and guide them in a new and safe direction! These efforts coincide with ACF’s efforts to bring South Dallas communities enrichment, empowerment, and equip residents with the tools necessary for lasting personal and community growth! Partnerships exist through CDFI which is a viable solution. A win/win opportunity fund with low risk and a fantastic support vehicle for real estate partners; job creation and provides lending alternatives. The merits of CDFI allows for establishment of a platform-level; standard of living improvement in South Dallas micro-economy by establishing a self-sustaining foundation starting with healthcare, housing and job creation and then extending into education, training, and infrastructure. As an example: The Marsalis Avenue Urgent Care Center operated by Dr. Dralves Edwards seeing at least 200 patients a month and where the city is paying for the staff. Your participation with ACF ensures lives will be positively changed, safety in at-risk communities will be altered with lower crime rates and low-cost housing can be realized along with neighborhood grocery stores and additional healthcare centers. These goals can be realized with your donations and real estate investments! Respectfully yours, Michael Yorba Chairman and CEO Sincerely, Tom Frazier Thomas Frazier Philanthropy Committee Chair
